Newmark refurbishes Serengeti Explorer Camp

Newmark Hotels, Residences, Reserves & Lodges has given a new look to its Serengeti Explorer Camp in Ndutu in the southern region of the Serengeti, Tanzania, following a soft refurbishment of the camp. The changes include new décor and fittings with neutral tones, wooden features and African-inspired patterns.

The camp comprises 12 luxury tents, of which ten are deluxe tents and two are family tents. The Deluxe tents can sleep up to three people, with a choice of a double bed, twin beds or a double bed with an additional single portable bed. The family tents have one double and two single beds. Both the deluxe and family tents offer en-suite bathrooms, a spacious lounge area and protected verandas.

Each tent comes with solar power and the services of a personal valet to take care of the tent. A separate communal lounge tent stocked with a library, board games and a bar is also available. Activities include game drives and hot air balloon safaris.

The Serengeti Explorer Camp alternates between two locations within the Serengeti National Park as it follows the migration of wildebeest and other animals, including the Big Five. The camp is in the Ndutu region in the Southern Serengeti from December 22 to March 31. It then moves to the Lobo region in the northern part of the park, close to the Grumeti and Mara rivers from June 1 to October 31. The camp is closed during April, May, November and early December due to migration periods.
